Must-attend events for Digital Signage professionals in 2017

2017 is going to herald many exciting developments for the Digital Signage industry. The industry keeps moving towards an integrated model that combines hardware, software, integrator and network levels to boost customer service and experience.

Another trend that will gain momentum in 2017 is the interactive use of mobile devices,  for example the integration of  mobile and Digital Signage solutions.

To keep up with the latest developments in Digital Signage and AV integration it is important to attend the right industry events. Check out the list of the most exciting events for interactive Digital Signage professionals in 2017, and see which events are right for you

 Digital Signage Expo

When: May 28-31, Las Vegas

In 2016, over 4,000 Professionals and decision makers from 69 countries and across 20 industries gathered at DSE to showcase and discuss all things digital signage.

This year, the Expo will kick off with an amazing 6-hour pre-show tour of Vegas that will provide customer-facing views and behind-the-scenes insights of some of the best digital signage installations in Las Vegas. The rest of the  program is filled to the brim with amazing keynote speakers, workshops and exiting roundtable discussions.

Highlights:

Alan Brawn, Co-owner of Brawn Consulting, will present a comprehensive overview of all the steps needed to conduct a successful digital signage operation. Brawn is a veteran of the AV industry and past chairman of the Digital Signage Federation.

Laura Davis-Taylor, EVP of Customer Experience of MaxMedia, will discuss the effective integration of digital signage technology. Davis-Taylor has been a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal and Time Magazine on issues relating to digital experience design.

London Digital Signage week

When:  May 8-12, London, UK

What makes this unique is that it features three events in one: The Retail Business and Technology Expo, Retail Design Expo and the Retail Digital Signage Expo.

The 5 day event combines a wide range of products and solutions featuring 600 vendors from every branch of retail imaginable. The 100+ event courses and workshops will present hands-on tips and trends from leading experts in retail, design and customer experience. Lastly, this year, already 17,000 decision makers and experts from numerous industries have registered, so sign up and get ready to network like never before.

New York Digital Signage Week

When: October 30th – November 3rd, NYC

If this year’s Digital Signage Week is going to be anything like the like 2016, we are in for a treat. The 2016 conference hosted 7 digital signage events, run by Barco, Video Everywhere and DailyDooh among others.

Keeping up with traditions, the conference will look at major technological trends in digital signage, explore current investor standards and feature speakers who are innovating the field.

Integrated Systems Europe

When: February 7-10 – 2017, Amsterdam, NL

The event is expected to attract over 65,000 visitors and 1,100 exhibitors. While the event is mainly meant for AV integrators, over the years it has become a significant conference also for Digital Signage providers.

Highlights:

At the conference we are going to present our ongoing On-Location Gamification project for Domino’s Pizza Netherlands. In its busiest location in Holland, Domino’s used SCREEMO on-location gamification solution to address a very important problem that plagues quick service restaurants- the waiting time gap.

The project is done in-cooperation with our partners ONELAN, Jansen Display and NFGD.

We are excited to showcase the ability of SCREEMO on-location gamification solution to address some of the most pressing issues for Quick Service Restaurant industry: increasing brand loyalty, generating repeat visits, and improving in-store customer experience.

CeBIT digital Summit

When: 20 – 23 March, Hanover, Germany

This mammoth event will attract 200,000 participants, 1,000 solutions, 450 exhibitors and 130 keynote speakers.

Highlights:

Drop by the Marketing & Sales Solutions section, where you will learn how  market leaders reacting to these new developments. You might want to have a look at POS & Banking Solutions, or perhaps, you will visit the Big Data and Business Intelligence, where companies like QlikTech offer new insights and methods on visual analytics and data discovery.

Interactive CX Summit

When: June 5-7, Irving, TX

This B2C Summit, sponsored by major corporate players such as Intel, Elo and InVue and is all about interactive customer experiences. ICX summit is a relatively new event, but that has quickly became one of the most influential conferences in the world of Digital Signaange.  This rapid rise reflects a rapidly rising emphasis among brands to create superior customer experiences through technology.

Highlights:

Two keynote speakers; Alan Depencier, VP of RBC (Royal Bank of Canada and Doug Stephens, founder of Retail Prophet. They will be joined by an additional 50 presenters, ten of which will focus on digital signage; like Raj Maini, worldwide director of Marketing for the Intel Corporation.

InfoComm China

When: April 12-14, Beijing, China

While the full schedule has yet to be released, this year’s InfoComm China Summit will feature courses and workshops on digital signature as was done last year. The Summit will demonstrate the latest developments in a variety of industries in the APAC region, including; Audio & Video Technologies, Cable, Connectors & Switchers, Digital Signage, and much more.

Highlights:

While the details for the 2017 summit have yet to be finalized, we do know that it will be broken up into three primary programs; InfoComm University Seminar, Industry Forums, and Manufacturers’ Presentations. Each program will include a keynote speech, panel discussions with audience participation.

Digital Signage Japan

When: 6-9 June, Chiba, Japan

Digital Signage Japan is the only trade show in the country to specifically target this market. This trade show provides an unparalleled opportunity to meet buyers from Japanese retail, hospitality, financial, transportation and public sectors. The event is particularly interesting in anticipation of the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics, as it is expected to spur growth in the local Digital Signage industry.

InfoComm USA

When: June 14-16, 2017, Orlando, FL

Every year over 40,000 people from 110 countries flock to infocomm to learn about the latest technologies in audio-video integration, digital signage, unified communication collaboration (UCC), lighting and staging. The Digital Signage Summit segment of InfoComm USA  grows from year to year and is to date the largest gathering of digital signage solutions in North America.

EuroShop

When: March 5-9, Dusseldorf, Germany

Everything from store design, POP marketing, lighting, visual merchandise, food tech and energy management, expo and event marketing to retail technology is covered in this mammoth event. It is nothing less than a one stop shop!    

Highlights:

As shopping experience becomes more interactive and high-tech, the retail and service sector is in need of new perspectives to meet consumer  demands.
