In the upcoming series of blogs we will share SCREEMO unique experience of participating in FOUR different corporate accelerator programs. “Dancing with elephants”, or cooperation with large corporations such as Coca-Cola, Deutsche Telekom, Publicis and Microsoft, have played a major role in our success. Here is our story.
As a part of its 90th anniversary celebration, Publicis Groupe, the third-largest ad company in the world, launched Publicis90 – a partner program which would provide mentorship and support to ninety hand-picked digital startups, who will also gain access to Publicis network worldwide, including their agencies and business units.
The idea behind the program was to help start ups by putting Publicis’ resources, such as mentorship by world-class professionals as well as privileged access to its vast network of clients, partners, and media companies at their disposal for a year. The selected startups are mentored and guided by Publicis Groupe experts from marketing, communications, management and technology divisions.
Speaking to Business Insider, Publicis Groupe legendary CEO Maurice Lévy, said: “the best way to celebrate a company like ours, which has always been confronted with innovation, and reinvention, and trying to be ahead of the curve should be something for the future rather than the past.”
In line with this outlook, the world’s leading marketing and communications powerhouse has taken the forward-looking approach of lending the helping hand to promising startups focused on digital innovation.
The selection process was rigorous, with over 3,500 applicants from all over the world vying for 90 available spots.
The first selection round was held on a region-wise basis, where over 76,000 Publicis Groupe employees worldwide were invited to cast a vote for their favorite company. The final selection was made by an elite panel of judges, comprised of some of the biggest names in tech and business.
The jury that included tech and business superstars of the likes of Maurice Lévy (Chairman & CEO, Publicis Groupe), Carolyn Everson (VP, FaceBook), and Stéphane Richard (CEO, Orange) has selected SCREEMO as one of the top 90 startups worldwide!
The ninety winners were announced at Viva Technology Paris, a truly inspiring event where big companies and game-changing startups rendez-vous in order to work together on bold innovations. This event saw 45,000 attendees from around the world, 5,000 startups and 600 speakers.
We are working closely with Publicis HQ in Paris, and especially Cécile Lejeune, Chief Client Officer of Publicis, who proved invaluable for her mentorship around brand building and storytelling. We would like to thank our knowledgeable mentor Cécile Lejeune for her truly visionary advice and guidance.
Thanks to her efforts, this February we set out on a roadshow in Paris! During two meeting-packed days at Publicis headquarters in Paris, our CSO Dotan Kotopolovich met with Publicis partners and had the opportunity to discuss multi-varied applications of our gamified experiences solution with some of the biggest brands in the world. Here are just some of the discussions we had that showcase the variety of potential applications of SCREEMO gamified experiences.
Sporting events, such as championships, tournaments and contests can be a great arena for brands to stand out with gamified experiences. At the roadshow, we discussed a possible SCREEMO powered activation at the world famous Roland-Garros tennis tournament with Publicis Representatives from BNP Paribas, an international banking group with presence in 75 countries. We also discussed bringing gamified activations to auto shows with Sylvian Michel, Deputy Chief Client Officer and Global Digital Director at Publicis Group for Renault.
Gamified experiences are a great way to engage consumers who are waiting, be it in line at a quick service restaurant or at the bus stop. We met with Valerie Decamp, the General Director at Media Transports, an advertising agency specializing in communications within public transport to discuss the application of gamified experiences in public transportation.
Cinemas seem like a great place to implement gamified experiences. We met with Eric Jourdan, the General Director at Media Vision to talk about cinema activations through media buying.
We also had the pleasure to meet with Pascal Crifo, the president and CEO at Blue449, an innovative media agency, who agreed to partner up with us and to present SCREEMO experiences to his customers for OOH, in-store and cinema activations.
We also had the pleasure to meet with Nathalie Laudat, head of In Store Communication at Orange, to discuss in-store activations across France.
We had an insightful talk with Publicis ETO ,Gregory Lecointe about the potential of gamified activations for gathering customer data from physical locations, such as shopping malls. Gathering customer data and analyzing customer behavior in brick and mortar locations can then be combined with existing data from mobile and online channels and analyzed to get the full picture in the omnichannel customer experience.
The roadshow proved that SCREEMO’s solution can be applied in different industries and verticals to improve in-store customer experience, generate data and impact the bottom line. We look forward to our further cooperation with great confidence, and also hope that together we can inspire brands worldwide to redefine what brand engagement truly means.
