This blog concludes the three-part series focused on SCREEMO’s unique experience of participating in FOUR different corporate programs. “Dancing with elephants”, or cooperation with large corporations such as Coca-Cola, Deutsche Telekom, Publicis and Microsoft, have played a major role in our success. Here is our story.
I’m always amazed at the outstanding level of mentorship and support that SCREEMO received as a participant in various corporate programs. Microsoft Accelerator was yet another outstanding example of why startups can reap tremendous benefits by partnering up with large corporations.
The program served as an accelerated route to global markets by connecting participating startups with Microsoft’s extensive global network of customers, partners, VCs, business mentors and technical experts. Throughout the program, but most importantly, after graduation, Microsoft continues to be a strategic partner for us and other program alumni.
Microsoft Accelerator is a global initiative for later-stage startups aimed at providing the tools, resources, connections, knowledge and expertise those companies need to succeed. The ultimate goal of the program is to help startups scale every aspect of their business.
After competing against 400 companies, SCREEMO was chosen among twelve other innovative startups to embark on a four to six month journey and join the program. This intensive training program was crucial in helping us take gamified experiences to the next level and reach a wide network of retail companies globally.
We received access to expert knowledge, tools, corporate resources and connections that would allow us to scale and grow in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Most importantly, the networking benefits of the program are hard to overestimate. The valuable connections with Microsoft customers, partners, VCs, business mentors and technical experts proved an invaluable asset in helping us grow and gain access to international markets. The partnerships that we have built throughout the course of the program will no doubt continue to grow and flourish.
As Microsoft venture alumni, we are cooperating with Microsoft Go-To-Market team: a dedicated team of experts that helps companies like SCREEMO grow their business and reach new customers and markets worldwide. In addition to mentorship with a strong focus on developing co-selling and co-marketing opportunities, we’ve been granted $60K credit for the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
Annual NRF Expo in New York earned the nickname “Retail’s BIG Show” years ago. And for a good reason- after going on strong for 106 years – Retail’s BIG Show remains to be the flagship event for the global retail industry. This three day event is held annually in New York City and offers unparalleled education and networking opportunities.
SCREEMO has been featured by Microsoft in the NRF 2016, where they organized a unique event to introduce several retail oriented cherry-picked startups to their top-tier retail customers. This provided us with tremendous exposure and generated great connections. We are currently working on several exciting opportunities as a result of being featured in this event.
SCREEMO was the first Israeli company to ever get accepted to the prestigious hub:raum corporate program run by Deutsche Telekom. The program focuses on startups with disruptive potential to fundamentally transform important markets for Deutsche Telekom. Hub:raum connects high-growth startup companies with Deutsche Telekom business units with the aim of forging mutually beneficial partnerships and providing fast-growing businesses with much needed access to their vast business network.
As a result of participating in the program, we received ample opportunities to partner with Deutsche Telekom, gained access to its vast ecosystem of highly skilled experts and received privileged access to its business network. We come out of hub:raum with a sharpened business model and valuable business connections.
We are currently in an on-going process to join the T-systems portfolio, one of the largest European IT services companies. We are very excited about this opportunity, as this cooperation will bring exposure to T-systems vast network of customers.
Prior to that, T-systems brought SCREEMO gamified experiences to CeBIT, the largest and highly influential global event for digital business. We were featured by T-systems and presented at the exhibition as a much-needed solution for retailers to connect to consumers and better monetize their digital ad space.
We have a number of other projects in cooperation with T-System in the works. One initiative would place SCREEMO technology at an upcoming sport event on behalf of a major alcohol beverage company. The campaign is based on a unique model where the fans are able to play, win prizes and download an app to continue interactions using I-Beacons.
SCREEMO is also in the process of running a gamified activation with Deutsche Telekom, helping to create a fun, engaging and rewarding customer experiences in Telekom Shops, piloting SCREEMO’s ability to bring the gamified experience to more than 700 retail locations across Europe. There is no doubt that this will create a fun, engaging and rewarding customer experiences, help the company connect with the customers and build loyalty.
SCREEMO is disrupting the way brick and mortar stores across a range of industries connect with their customers by creating fun, engaging and interactive in-store experiences, while at the same time providing the stores with quality customer data for analytics.
Cooperation with world leading corporations, such as Coca-Cola, Deutsche Telekom, Publicis and Microsoft, have played a major role in our success, and continues having an impact in terms of generating exciting business opportunities.
